Breaking the Silence: A Men’s Health Guide to Prostate Cancer

Listen to

Prostate cancer is a disease that arises in the prostate gland, a small part of the male reproductive system. It usually affects older men and may grow slowly without causing early symptoms. Common signs include difficulty in urination, frequent night time urination, or blood in urine or semen. The exact cause is unclear, but age, family history, and genetics increase the risk. Early detection through PSA tests and medical checkups improves treatment outcomes.

Treatment options include surgery, radiation, hormone therapy, and active surveillance. A healthy diet, regular exercise, and screening can help reduce the complexity of prostate cancer. In this episode of the prostate cancer podcast, we will explore causes, risk factors, symptoms, diagnostic methods, and treatment approaches of prostate cancer.
