Diagnosis to Recovery – A Deep Dive into Ovarian Cysts

PACE Hospitals

Listen to

An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled pouch on the ovary. Most ovarian cysts are harmless and go away on their own without symptoms. However, some may cause pain, bloating, irregular periods, or complications like rupture or twisting (torsion). The main categories include functional cysts during the menstrual cycle and pathological cysts, such as dermoid or endometriomas.

Treatment varies from observation to medication or surgery if cysts are large, painful, or suspected to be cancerous. In this episode of the Ovarian Cysts podcast, we'll discuss everything about ovarian cysts—from their causes and symptoms to the treatment process and recovery journey.

Join the PACE Hospitals Podcast with Dr. Mugdha Bandawar - Obstetrician, Gynaecologist, Laparoscopic Surgeon and Infertility Consultant at PACE Hospitals, Hitech City, Hyderabad, India, to understand how ovarian cysts affect reproductive health and why early awareness is key to preventing complications.
