Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder where breathing repeatedly stops and starts. The most common type is obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which occurs when the muscles in the back of the throat fail to keep the airway open. Snoring happens when the flow of air through the mouth and nose is partially blocked during sleep. In this episode of snoring and sleep apnea podcast, we discuss what causes these issues, the risks associated with them, and most importantly, what you can do about it.
