Kidney function tests help assess how well the kidneys filter waste materials, balance fluids, and maintain mineral balance in the body. When a person has diabetes, high blood pressure, changes in urine output, or swelling in the face or legs, these tests are advised. Many kidney problems develop silently, so that abnormalities may be detected only with routine blood and urine tests.


KFT measures the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), urea, creatinine, and electrolytes. Together, they give a clear picture of kidney health, help detect early damage, and guide timely treatment.
