Liver cirrhosis is a chronic condition in which healthy liver tissue is gradually replaced by scar tissue, impairing normal liver function. It often develops over several years due to causes such as long-term alcohol consumption and viral non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Early signs include fatigue, loss of appetite, swelling in the abdomen or legs, jaundice, and easy bruising.

Early diagnosis and treatment, combined with lifestyle modifications and regular monitoring, are crucial for slowing the progression and enhancing quality of life. In this episode of the Liver Cirrhosis Podcast, we delve into liver cirrhosis, examining its causes, warning signs, risk factors, diagnostic methods, potential complications, and available liver cirrhosis treatment options.
